I just received an email about getcloser.com closing. What does it mean?

Unfortunately, getcloser.com will be closing as a separate site on 27th September and become incorporated into other hmv sites and services. If you've been a regular user of getcloser.com, then we'd like to thank you for being a member and for your interest and support. However its not a goodbye: much of the exclusive content you've come to know and love will not be lost but is being uploaded to hmv's new rewards scheme website over the coming months.

Why is getcloser.com closing?

The site is closing and becoming incorporated into other hmv sites and services with the aim of offering greater benefits to getcloser.com users and hmv’s customers.

Will my personal details be passed on or sold to any third party after the closure of getcloser.com?

Absolutely not. We can assure you that your information will not be made available to any organisation outside hmv.

What is purehmv?

I entered a competition on getcloser.com - what's going to happen?

All competitions on getcloser.com will run until their advertised closing date. Winners will be drawn as usual and prizes will be sent out when the competition ends. For the name / county of any prize winner, please send a stamped addressed envelope marked 'Getcloser.com [NAME OF COMPETITION] Competition' to be received during the 6 week period following the draw to the Promotions Department, Getcloser.com Limited, Film House, 142 Wardour Street, London W1F 8LN.
